BerlinUP and its four institutions are networked regionally, nationally and internationally and support the open access transformation through collaboration and membership in numerous projects, committees and initiatives.

Memberships in the AG Universitätsverlage, the Association of European University Presses (AEUP) and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA) are of particular importance for the sustainable and quality-assured further development of BerlinUP.

BerlinUP is also involved in cooperation with the open-access.network, the OJS-de.net network, the OJS community of the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and the DSpace consortium.
