BerlinUP and its supporting institutions are networked regionally, nationally, and internationally and support the open-access transformation through collaboration and membership in numerous projects, committees, and initiatives. Further cooperations, which serve the overarching goal of science-owned and science-adequate publication structures, accompany the gradual development and operation of BerlinUP.

The membership in the AG Universitätsverlage (Working Group of University Presses) as well as the collaboration with the project open-access.network and the developer communities of OJS-de.net and DSpace are crucial for the sustainable and quality-assured further development of BerlinUP.
