Starting in August 2022, BerlinUP will for the first time offer workshops on open access and scientific publishing to support the transfer of knowledge by multipliers. In line with the train-the-trainer format, the workshops are aimed in particular at participants who pass on expertise on open access and scholarly publishing to researchers and colleagues at their own institutions (institutes, faculties, research centers, research groups) in the form of training and advice, or who are contact persons for these topics. The target group of the train-the-trainer workshops are therefore in particular individuals with science-supporting tasks such as research group leaders, science managers, administrative staff and student assistants.

The workshop will initially be held in German at the end of August, with an English-language workshop to follow in November or December. The dates will be announced on the consultation page and distributed through the information channels of the institutions of the Berlin University Alliance.

The workshops will be based on a recently published train-the-trainer concept on open access and scholarly publishing, which was co-created by BerlinUP staff.
