You are in favor of a scientific world in which research results are accessible free of charge and can be reused without restriction? Still, you are unsure whether Open Access is the right way to go because you lack background knowledge or have concerns?
In this one-day workshop for researchers and scientists, we will provide you with basic knowledge about Open Access and scientific publishing in many ways. Topics such as Open Access in practice, funding and financing, publication processes, publication types, quality assurance, copyright and licenses, as well as visibility and reputation are on the agenda. By using different methods, you will also get ideas on how to skillfully pass on your knowledge to your colleagues.
The workshop is open to all members of the four institutions of the Berlin University Alliance: Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Christine Mieck (Open Science & Publishing Services officer at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Marc Lange (Open Access officer at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin). Both are also involved in consulting at Berlin Universities Publishing, the non-commercial Open Access publishing house of the Berlin University Alliance.
The workshop will be held in German.
